Eleven (11) assembled coin silver and sterling items, mostly TN related, including: one (1) olive pattern punch ladle with retailer mark for Thomas Gowdey (working Nashville,1825-1863); one (1) plain handle teaspoon with retailer mark for Thomas Gowdey (working Nashville, 1825-1863); one (1) plaid handle teaspoon with retailer mark GOWDY & PEABODY for (John Peabody, working in Nashville 1836-1850) and Thomas Gowdey (working Nashville,1825-1863); two (2) Tennessee or North Carolina tablespoons with fiddle-tipt handles and rounded fins marked J. CAMPBELL in a rectangle for John Campbell (working Fayetteville, NC, 1818-1836, and Nashville, TN, active 1836-1855); one (1) serving spoon with fiddle handle marked A. BEACH in a serrated rectangle for Andrew Beach (working Nashville, TN 1847-1857); one (1) teaspoon with fiddle handle marked W. H. CALHOUN. for the retailer, William Henry Calhoun (working Nashville, 1835-d. 1865); one (1) English sterling silver fork marked A. Beach in serrated rectangle (Andrew Beach, retailer/ working Nashville, TN 1847-1857), one (1) coin silver teaspoon marked D. WILLIAMS for  Boston silversmith Deodat Williams (b. 1794 - d. 1857), working from 1811; one (1) serving spoon marked COIN J. B. HILL working in Beverly, Massachusetts; and one (1) serving spoon with bright cut engraved pattern retailed by Stieff, marked B. H. STIEF. Flatware ranges in size from 5 1/2" L to 13 1/4" L. 15.495 total coin silver troy ounces. 1.785 sterling troy ounces.

Condition

All pieces with monograms and overall use wear. Teaspoons with wear and pitting to bowls.
