Eleven (11) Dresden porcelain pots de creme and one (1) saucer, decorated by Georg Heufel & Co. with hand-painted panels of flowers and raised giltwork on a partial pink ground. The cups are raised on animal paw feet with twisted snake handles decorated in gilt and fitted with domed covers having gilt finials. Saucer marked on the underside in blue. Cups measure 4 1/2" H (w/ cover), saucer measures 5 1/2" dia. German, late 19th century. Note: Georg Heufel & Co. was a Dresden decorating shop founded by its namesake around 1891. He decorated porcelain blanks in the style of Royal Vienna and Meissen. He immigrated to the United States in 1901 where he worked for Lenox, Inc. Two lids with hairlines, 1 lid with chip, saucer with hairline. 3 cups are missing the lids and only 1 saucer is retained with the set.
