Printed paper label for Secretary at Headquarters Prohibition State Committee. 6" H x 2 3/8" W. 4th item: Commemorative ribbon for Captain Luther Priest of the Grand Army of the Republic, printed on cream ground IN MEMORY OF OUR NOBLE DEAD / LUTHER PRIEST POST, NO. 167, DEPARTMENT OF NEW YORK G.A.R. with an image of the GAR medal. 6 1/4" H x 2 7/8" W. Note: Luther Priest is listed as "Captain" under Commander Albert D. Cross, Co. D, 175th NY in 1899 Military Obituaries published in THE NATIONAL TRIBUNE, Jan. 18, 1900. 1st item: Overall good condition. Wear is commensurate with use, with scattered scratches, losses to finish, and some splitting of wood. An 11" split on top has been inexpertly repaired. Hinges on back have been replaced and hardware on front has missing latch. 2nd item: Overall excellent condition. 3rd item: Fading and wear commensurate with age, including creasing to upper edge and fraying to lower edge. Loss of original printed portrait medallions. Minute losses to gilt. 4th item: Toning and scattered discoloration commensurate with age; fraying to lower edge, top edge is glued.
