Two (2) Victorian boxes, with multiple compartments and hinged lids 1st item: One (1) walnut collector or watch maker's box with hinged lid having a brass inset handle; key included. Top lifts to reveal three divided compartments with red velvet inset liner. Front hinged panel with metal escutcheon and a key latch opens to five interior drawers each with inset circular brass handles, all having red velvet inset liners and one with three compartments. 10 1/2 " H x 13" W x 9 1/8" D. 2nd item: One (1) walnut box with a brass handle on a hinged lid having metal escutcheon, key latch, and two hook latches on a hinged partial front panel. Interior composed of three removable stacked compartments with red velvet lining, two bisected, and one stationary compartment. 6 1/2" H x 14" W x 9 1/2" D. Likely English, late 19th/early 20th century.

Condition

1st item: Surface scratches and discoloration commensurate with age; scattered splits to veneer largest measuring 10" L. Interior with wear to lining and losses of wooden dividers. 2nd item: Surface wear commensurate with age with scattered splits to veneer, largest measuring 4 1/4" L. Slight discoloration to velvet lining and fraying to felt on underside.
