Whilden, working 1852-1855) and makers William Gale & Son of New York, dated 1853, having a finely beaded rim and foot ring and repousse shell and foliate decoration to the body and C-scroll handle. 3 1/4" H. Engraved "Gilbert" in the cartouche. 3 1/4" H. 4.565 troy ounces. 2nd item: Coin silver hexagonal mug retailed by Gregg & Hayden Co., Charleston, SC, marked G & H in rectangle (William Gregg, H. Sidney Hayden, and Augustus H. Hayden, working 1846-1852), with additional G & H maker's mark for Gale and Hughes, New York, and dated 1849; having a reeded rim and foot ring and C-scroll handle, hallmarked on the base. Engraved "CW Edwards" to the body. 3" H. 2.905 troy ounces. 7.47 total troy ounces.
