1st item: Coin silver hexagonal mug, marks for Charleston, SC retailers Hayden, Brothers, & Co. (Augustus H. Hayden, Hezekiah S. Hayden, and William G. Whilden, working 1852-1855) and makers William Gale & Son of New York, dated 1853, having a finely beaded rim and foot ring and repousse shell and foliate decoration to the body and C-scroll handle. 3 1/4" H. Engraved "Gilbert" in the cartouche. 3 1/4" H. 4.565 troy ounces. 2nd item: Coin silver hexagonal mug retailed by Gregg & Hayden Co., Charleston, SC, marked G & H in rectangle (William Gregg, H. Sidney Hayden, and Augustus H. Hayden, working 1846-1852), with additional G & H maker's mark for Gale and Hughes, New York, and dated 1849; having a reeded rim and foot ring and C-scroll handle, hallmarked on the base. Engraved "CW Edwards" to the body. 3" H. 2.905 troy ounces. 7.47 total troy ounces.

Condition

Both mugs engraved and in overall good condition with expected wear. 2nd mug with minor scattered pitting and very slight denting to body.
