Two (2) coin silver beakers or julep cups with tapering sides and reeded rims, each marked H.H. HARNED in rectangles, attributed to Henry H. Harned, working Frankfort, KY, mid 20th century. Both approx. 3" H. Combined weight: 7.5 troy ounces. Note: According to his obituary in the Louisville, KY Courier Journal, Henry H. Harned (c.1907-1975) was a collector and maker of Kentucky silver julep cups. He also worked as an attorney in Frankfort and served as president of the Kentucky Historical Society, and authored the article on Kentucky silver in the Magazine Antiques special Kentucky issue, April, 1974.
