1st item: George Wesley Bellows (American, 1882-1925) figural lithograph, "Male Torso." A seated nude male rests on his right arm and tilts his head downward. Shading describes the musculature of the torso while the remainder of the body is rendered in relatively little detail. Signed in the plate, lower center. Inscribed and initialed "Geo Bellows / J.B.B" in graphite by the artist's daughter, Jean Bellows Booth, lower right, and "No. 12," lower left. Ref.: Mason 2. Housed under glass in a giltwood frame with white mat. Sight: 15 in. H x 12 3/4 in. W. Framed: 27 5/8 in. H x 23 9/16 in. W. 1916. 2nd item: Bolton Coit Brown (American, 1864-1936) figural lithograph titled "Model Crouching" that depicts a nude woman who crouches or kneels. Signed in pencil, lower left, and in the stone, by right hand. Titled lower center. Housed under glass in a simple wooden frame with cream mat. Sight:13 1/2 in. H x 10 1/4 in. W. Framed: 25 1/4 in. H x 21 1/4 in. W. 1923. Note: "George Bellows may be known for his paintings, but he was a prolific printmaker as well, and made significant contributions to using lithography as a means to disseminate fine art to a larger audience.
