Our July 6-7 Live Auction in Knoxville features more than 1,000 lots of Fine Art, Antiques and Jewelry from the founding family of Rogersville, TN, and from the historic Pinckney family of Charleston, SC; from the estate of William J. Eskind of Nashville; the living estate of Jerry Waters, Maryville, the estate of U.S. Ambassador Ron Schlicher of Brentwood, and from other fine estates and private and museum collections. Two (2) Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983) lithographs. 1st item: Abstract color lithograph from Derriere le Miroir, number 151-152, published by Maeght Editeur, Paris, 1965, p. 22. With additional lithograph and French text en verso, p. 21. Pencil initialed "M.," lower right. Housed under plexiglass in black wood frame with white mat. Sheet: 15" H x 11" W. Frame: 22 7/8" H x 18 7/8" W. 2nd item: Abstract color lithograph from Les Revolutions Sceniques du XXe Siecle (The Revolutions of Stage Design in the 20th Century), 1975. From the book edition of 5000. Unsigned. Ref.: Mourlot 1078; Cramer Books 207. Housed under plexiglass in a silvered wood frame with ebonized edges and white fabric mat with silvered fillet. Sheet: 13 3/8" H x 9 15/16" W. Frame: 21 3/4" H x 19 1/4" W.

Condition

Both items in very good condition, hinge mounted to backing with archival tape. 1st item with old tape to edges of verso. Frame with abrasions and 1/2" chip to lower left corner. 2nd item with minor mar burn. Frame with minor abrasions.
