1st item: A Moore Brothers Pate-Sur-Pate moon flask vase having a black ground with white slip decoration depicting three cherubs running, the first one falling forward, resting on four flaring feet; gilt rim and feet with black stylized designs. Monogrammed lower left HS for Henry Saunders. 7 3/8" H x 6 3/8" W x 1 3/4" D. 2nd item: A Moore Brothers Pate-Sure-Pate moon flask vase having a green ground with white slip decoration depicting a cherub in an outdoor setting blowing bubbles, resting on four flaring feet; gilt rim, feet and sides with black stylized designs. Monogrammed lower center HS for Henry Saunders. 6 3/8" H x 5 1/2" W x 2 3/8" D. Both pieces Last Qtr. 19th century. Note: Henry Saunders was an apprentice Louis Solon at Minton beginning around 1871 until 1877. Saunders' employment was terminated at Minton in 1877 and he subsequently joined the Moore Brothers that same year and remained there until around 1893.

Condition

1st item: Overall very good condition. Repaired break to back left foot. Craquelure noted to black and white slip glazes. Scratching to back center of side without decoration. Minor wear to feet. 2nd item: Overall very good condition. Craquelure noted to black and white slip glazes. Scratching to back center of side without decoration. Rubbing and wear to gilt on neck, feet and sides.
