Two American 20th/21st century oil on board interior scene paintings signed B. Evans. 1st item: Oil on board interior scene titled "The Palm Reader", depicting a young woman attired in a black dress and hat, seated at a round table with a crystal ball, having her palm read by another woman closely examining her palm with a magnifying glass. Signed "B. Evans" lower right and titled en pencil verso. Housed in a gilt wood frame. Sight: 23 1/4" H x 17 1/2" W. Framed: 32 1/4" H x 26 1/4" W. 2nd item: Oil on board interior scene titled "Woman with Teacup" depicting a young woman with short red hair wearing a printed floral dress standing and holding a cup of tea with a painting, oriental vase and chest visible in the background. Signed B. Evans lower left. Housed in a gilt wood frame. Sight: 17 3/8" square. Framed: 26" square.
Condition
Both paintings are in overall very good condition.
Available payment options
Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes).
