1st item: Gary Dagnan (American/Tennessee, b. 1946) oil on canvas landscape depicting a large wildflower and grassy valley with trees and mountains in the background, likely the Smoky Mountains. Signed and dated lower left DAGNAN '97. Housed in a molded giltwood frame. Sight:  17 1/2" H x 23 1/4" W. Framed: 23" H x 29" W. Artist's Biography (Adapted from the artist's website): Gary Dagnan was born and grew up in the East Tennessee area and his inspiration comes from the rural landscapes of the area. Most of his paintings are of the mountains, hills, lakes, and structures of the East Tennessee area. 2nd item: Terry Chandler (American/Tennessee, b. 1944) oil on canvas depicting a view of the Smoky Mountains in the springtime. Signed and dated lower right T. CHANDLER '97. Housed in a gilt wood frame. Sight: 8 3/4" H x 11 1/2" W. Framed: 11" H x 14" W.  Artist's Biography (Adapted from the artist's website): A native Tennessean, born in Knoxville in 1944, growing up on a farm, and backpacking into the mountains has developed Chandler's love for the land and its beauty. He has pursued an interest in art since childhood and has painted professionally for over 30 years. His paintings are personal statements of his feelings for nature.
