1st item: After or follower of Jiang Tingxi (Chinese, 1669-1732), ink and watercolor on silk painting depicting colorful birds in a landscape setting from the "A Hundred Birds" series. Image 63 in. x 15 in., has been mounted on sides only with a damask border. Overall 67 in. x 18 1/2 in. Probably 19th century. 2nd item: Asian ink and watercolor on silk scroll depicting a beetle in a lush floral landscape setting. Signed with calligraphy inscription upper left and mounted to a damask backing. Image 38 in. x 15 in . Overall 64 in. x 19 1/2 in.  Both appear to be mid-19th century or earlier. 

1st item: 2 1/2 in tear to center and 2 in line of fraying to side near central birds' heads. LIght toning/discoloration to ground. Area of loss at lower left of ground, near main birds' tailfeathers. Creasing with losses at upper edge of ground. A few tiny scattered holes to main image and a few slightly larger scattered holes to damask side mountings. Some separations between scroll and side mountings. 2nd item: Creasing and 1 small hole to upper right of main image, some discoloration and possible fading. Paper ends are in poor condition with tears and losses and there are some edge losses to the damask backing (not affecting image).
