Three (3) Antique Turkmen Tribal weavings, including one 1 Uzbekistan Chuval and 2 Ersari Torbas, all wool on wool construction, woven in traditional stylized gul and floral designs in colors of red, blue, and cream. Ranging in size from 4 ft 8 in x 1 ft 5 in to 5 ft 8 in x 3 ft 11 in. All last quarter 19th century.

Condition

Uzbek chuval with areas of moderate pile wear on both sides. Both Ersari torbas overall good condition with light wear and losses to fringed ends.

Provenance

Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
