Group of four (4) Frederic Remington color lithographs plus one (1) offset lithograph. Item 1: "Arizona Cowboy" chromolithograph from the portfolio "A Bunch of Buckskins." Published by Robert Howard Russell, 1901. With printed copyright information to lower left corner. Housed in a window mat with corner vignette and French line. Sheet: 20 in. H x 15 in. W. Mat: 26 1/2 in. H x 21 1/2 in. W Items 2-3: "The Cow Boy" and "The Scout" chromolithographs from the portfolio "Western Types." Published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1902. With printed copyright information and title to lower corners. Both housed in a window mat with corner vignette and French line. Both sheets: 16 7/8 in. H x 11 1/2 in. W. Both mats: 23 1/4 in. H x 18 in. W. Item 4: "Pony Tracks in the Buffalo Trails" offset lithograph published by P.F. Collier & Son, 1906. With printed copyright information to lower right margin. Housed under glass in a window mat with vignette corner and French line. Sight: 11 5/8 in. H x 19 5/8 in. W. Mat: 18 3/4 in. H x 26 3/4 in. W. Item 5: "An Army Packer" chromolithograph from the 1956 edition of "A Bunch of Buckskins" published by Penn Prints. With printed title and copyright information to lower corners. Housed in a window mat with vignette corner and French line. Sight: 15 1/8 in. H x 12 7/8 in. W. Mat: 23 1/4 in. H x 21 1/8 in. W. Note: Lot includes Kennedy Gallery, Inc, New York, NY labels that correspond to items 1-3. Historical note: "A Bunch of Buckskins," a portfolio containing eight (8) lithographic images of Western subjects, was regarded as Frederic Remington's most successful print series. It was published 1901 by frequent Remington collaborator R.H. Russell. (The original pastels from the portfolio were included in the artist's first solo gallery exhibition in New York in December 1901). In 1908, Remington is said to have been delighted when he checked into the Irma Hotel in Cody, Wyoming, and saw a full set framed and hanging in the lobby.

Condition

1st item with 5-inch repaired tear without loss that runs from right edge through extreme tip of horse's nose plus 1-inch tear without loss to edge at upper left, by hinge. 1st-3rd items hinge-mounted to mats with archival tape affixed to versos.
