1st item: Miniature portrait of General Winfield Scott, possibly a political souvenir from his presidential campaign of 1852. The oval reverse glass transfer print depicts Scott (1786-1866) in civilian clothes, inside a lightweight gold colored metal frame. 1 7/8" L. 2nd item: Miniature watercolor portrait of an unidentified man with dark hair and dark coat, vacant hair reserve en verso. Unsigned. 2 1/3" L. 3rd item: Miniature collage silhouette, watercolor and paper, depicting a man identified in old script en verso as a Colonel of the 60th Royal Americans. Signed B. Kendall. Frame: 5 1/2" square. 4th item: Circa 1870 cased ambrotype of a man in civilian clothing: coat, tie and pocket watch. S. Peck and Co. label inside union case (under photograph), with a handwritten poem or inscription, plus an old receipt inside with the name E.P. Bowdre written multiple places. Note: Col. Edward P. Bowdre of the 1st Georgia Regulars, of Griffin, Georgia, age 30, and his father, of the same name, are both mentioned in the former's obituary, published in 1873 in the Georgia Telegraph and Messenger. The patriotic themed case featuring the bust of George Washington measures 3 1/4" x 3 3/4". 

Condition

1st item: some small flakes to glass. 2nd item: portrait in very good condition, oxidation to case. 3rd item: toning. 4th item: some losses to union case, oxidation spots to the ambrotype.
