1st item: Sevres for Chateau des Tuileries tazza or compote depicting a hand-painted interior scene of two gentlemen smoking a pipe, signed "D Teniers", lower edge, having a scalloped rim with floral vignettes and gilt foliate decoration on a blue ground, and raised on a shallow, round foot. After a portion of a work by David (The Younger) Teniers II (Belgium/Flemish, 1610-1690) titled "Smoking Peasants (Pipe Smokers)", now in the Slovak National Gallery. The painting may be based on a print after Teniers' work as the image departs from the original and is reversed. Marks for Sevres, Chateau de Tuileries, and Louis Phillipe. Circa 1840 to underside. 2" H x 9" dia. 2nd-3rd items: Pair of two (2) Sevres portrait cabinet plates depicting central images of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette surrounded by raised enamel jeweling, with medallion decoration featuring green fleur des lis against a cobalt ground, gilt highlights, and a crown above garland monograms with the initials of the sitters, "MA" for Marie Antoinette, and "LL" for the King. With Serves mark dated 1787 to underside, sitter's names, and "LG" mark attributing the work to Etienne-Henry Le Guay, (1719-1799). Each 9 1/2" dia. 4th-5th items: Pair (2) of Sevres style cachepots or wine coolers, each having blue ground and hand-painted vignettes to each side, including one (1) depicting mythological scenes of a soldier leaving for battle and soldiers at camp and one (1) depicting flowers, birds, and instruments. Both with shell form handles, enamel jeweling, and gilt highlights. Each with "double L" mark to underside. 4 1/4" H x 6" W x 4 3/4" D. All items likely French,19th century.

Condition

1st item: Light scratching to center of image and small 1/4" scratch on lower left. 2nd-3rd items. One cabinet plate with two minor flaws/chips to rims, one possibly in the making. 4th-5th item: Some losses to enamel and gilt highlights, light scratching to vignettes, largest 1".
