Five (5) piece Japanese .950 sterling silver tea set by Okubo Brothers, consisting of a coffee pot, teapot, lidded sugar bowl, creamer, and tea strainer. Urn form shaped bodies with squared handles and round pedestal feet. All pieces marked on the underside "Sterling 950 Okubo". Ranging in size from 3 in. H x 3 in. W to 12 3/4 in. H x 9 1/2 in. W. 92.09 total troy ounces. 20th century. Together with an English silverplated rectangular handled tray with scrolling foliate handles and border, and foliate engraved center with a standing bird of prey and banner reading GAUDET LUCE VIDERI. 19 in. H x 32 in. W. Late 19th or early 20th century.
Condition
Coffee pot and teapot with creasing on the tops of the handles, denting on the hinges, and minor dimples on the lids. The sugar bowl does not sit flush. All pieces with light overall scratching and with monograms.

Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file with Case, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
