Eight (8) Southern Coin Silver spoons, including 2 tablespoons marked MACAULY in rectangle, attributed to George James Macauley, working Charleston, circa 1800, both with oval ends and monograms in oval reserves; 1 teaspoon with rounded ends, marked YOUNG in serrated rectangle, attributed to Alexander Young, working Charleston, 1807-1856 (ref. Ensko); and 5 teaspoons marked T.T. WILMOT in rectangles for Thomas T. Wilmot, working Charleston, 1837-1841 and Savannah, Georgia, 1843-1850, each with fiddle handle and script monogram "Wadley". Combined weight: 7.84 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: Private Southern Collection.
Condition
All items monogrammed and in overall very good condition; Young spoon has some small dents and wear to end of bowl.
