Group of nine (9) different M101-7 Sporting News Supplemental Series 7 1/4" x 10" oversized baseball "cards", inserted into issues of The Sporting News newspaper from 1926-27. Included are the following, in order of issuance: Nov 4th,1926, Glenn Wright (Pittsburg); Nov 11th, 1926, Harry E. Manush (Henry) (Detroit); Nov 18th,1926, Harold "Pie" Traynor (Pittsburg); Dec 2nd, 1926, Rogers Hornsby (St. Louis); Dec 9th, 1926, John Mostil (Chicago); Dec 16th, 1926, Hazen "Kiki" Cuyler (Pittsburg); Dec 23rd, 1926, Al Simmons (Philadelphia); Jan 6th, 1927, Tony Lazzeri (New York); Jan 13th, 1927, Harry Rice (St. Louis).   There were a total 13 supplements issued in the complete M101-7 set from 1926-27.  NOTE: Please see Lot 579 in this auction for the Babe Ruth M101-7 from this set.

Condition

All cards in overall very good condition with some light toning. Glenn Wright card with minor loss to lower right margin. The Harry Rice card with minor losses to upper right corner and upper left corner, 3/4 in. tear left margin. Slight ding to upper left margin of Tony Lazzeri card, one 1/8 in. tear upper right, and one small approx. 1/4 in. tear lower margin, pencil notations on reverse.
