American Crazy Quilt, hand quilted and tied featuring multicolored wool embroidery visible on top and backing, rendered in multicolored fabrics including challis wool, plaids, solids, and stripes. Featuring embroidered designs including flowers, fruit, butterflies, animals, and "Good Night". The quilt has no batting and is finished with a knife edge. The backing is the foundation on which the crazy quilt blocks were constructed. 82" H x 70" W. American, circa 1910.
Some areas of staining, small scattered holes, some fading to green fabric.
