Antique Central Persia floor rug, wool on wool. Central foliate medallion design on a navy blue ground, within a larger solid rust ground medallion, flanked by ivory ground spandrels with geometric decoration and all within three primary geometric borders. Woven in rust, blue, cream, salmon, and brown colors. 6 ft 3in x 4 ft 4in. Circa 1870's.
Condition
Overall good condition, approximate 2" x 1/2" area of repair to the center, good even pile wear. Losses to fringed ends.

Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
