Antique Chi-Chi Caucasian rug or carpet with Kufic border, wool on wool construction. Central blue field with stylized flowers and medallions with seven primary borders including a Trefoil outer border. Woven in blue, red, salmon, gold, purple, and cream colors. 75" x 48". Circa 1880's.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
Overall very good condition with very minor wear to center and to the left border. Top verso fitted with wood rod and homemade denim loops for hanging.
