Antique French Savonnerie carpet, wool on cotton, with a central basketweave foliate oval medallion to the center on a blue ground surrounded by bands of floral garlands, overall multicolor geometric field with a swag border. Woven in colors of blue, yellow, pink, green, peach, lilac, green, and cream. 7 ft. 6 in. x 9 ft. 3 in. Early 20th century.
Condition
Overall good condition with even pile wear. One approx. 2 in. area of repair to the center with some abrash noted on one end. No stains noted.
