Archive of material related to James Allen Senter (1890-1969) of Nashville, who served as an Army Field Clerk in WWI and worked for the NC & St.L railroad for more than 40 years. He was a past master and a Scottish Rite Mason for over 50 years. This collection features Masonic and military memorabilia such as a Masonic Past Master ribbon badge from Observance Lodge #686 in Nashville, TN, circa 1923, a Masonic Directory and Pocket Companion from 1906, and various medals including an Efficiency Honor Fidelity Medal, an American Defense Medal, a WWII Ration Stamp Book, and both WWI and WWII Victory Medals. Of particular note is a WWI Iron Cross and a Great Warrior Civilization WWI Victory Medal.

Also present are an early 20th-century Japanese photo album with 100 original photographs capturing daily life, traditional clothing, aerial town views, and scenes of Nagasaki before World War II, all housed in a  wooden album with Japanese-inspired designs; several pieces of vintage currency such as a Bon de Un Franc, a WWI German currency note, and a WWI American Expeditionary Forces Officer's Identity Card, along with a WWII-era mileage ration form. Accompanying these are 37 European postcards, 15 American postcards, five WWI combat photographs, and six early 20th-century life photographs, along with a postcard album containing 186 European postcards that highlight landmarks across cities such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Waterloo, Edinburgh, and Jersey. Featured sites include the Frankfurt Opera House, the River Rhein, Cologne Cathedral, windmills of Holland, Edinburgh Castle, Melrose Abbey, the house of Sir Walter Scott, and Loch Lomond. These postcards are preserved in a black paper album, dating from the mid-19th to early 20th century. A historical compilation of Nashville high school publications and programs, including two (2) The Volunteer yearbooks from 1925 and 1927, three (3)  editions of The Peabody Volunteer (1925 and 1927) and its Junior Issue (1927), is present, as well as commencement programs from Peabody Demonstration School (1927) and West End High School (1947).

 Additional items include a wooden box with a pullout compartment, possibly linked to vintage magic tricks, a Southern Railway System matchbook, a Camp Gordon USA pin, a Jeanne d'Arc coin, a 50-Year Member Grand Lodge of Tennessee pin, and an American Red Cross Volunteer pin. These are complemented by a miniature leather coin purse and an assortment of vintage paper clips, buttons, pins, screws, and scraps of paper. Rounding out the collection is a box of 14 cufflinks, two WWII German rifle bullets of unknown caliber, and three stones or coral specimens.

Postcards and photographs show minor fading and edge wear. Books and programs with toning. Medals and pins have patination. The wooden box has some surface scratches. Jewelry is slightly tarnished. Binding has been lost on Japanese photo album.
