The subject is illuminated by a warm light, and set against a vague background of earthy greens and reds. Signed "Arthur W. Woelfle" lower right. Partial Salmagundi Club paper label with title and artist name, en verso of canvas. Inscription with title and artist name, en verso of frame. Rococo-style molded giltwood frame with foliate flourish corners and central ornaments upon diapered ground; canvas covered sight edge. Sight: 29 1/2" H x 24 3/4" W. Framed: 39 3/4" H 34 5/8" W.
