Group of six (6) Asian decorative items and book. 1st item: Author signed book, FLOWERS AND FOLK-LORE FROM FAR KOREA, First Edition, by Florence Hedleston Crane, published by The Sanseido Company, Tokyo, 1931. Hardcover folio, 93 gilt edged pages, including 45 tipped-in colored plates with tissue paper guards, hardbound in black cloth with blindstamped front cover, gilt lettering to front cover and spine, floral endpapers. Signed "Florence Hedleston Crane" to title page. Ex libris plate to front matter page. 13 1/8" H x 10 1/2" W x 1 1/2" D. 2nd-4th items: Three (3) segmented green-glazed earthenware ginger jars with relief decorations, including one (1) large jar with landscape scenes, floral designs, and Asian characters having unglazed rims and two (2) small jars with floral designs having unglazed shoulders, rims, and lower portions, each with ceramic or wooden lid. 5th item: One (1) cinnabar box with relief carved floral and geometric designs having circular jade plaque carved with foliate designs to the center of lid. Marked "China" to underside. 6th item: One (1) polychrome porcelain parrot. Stamped "J74" to underside. Ranging in size from 3 3/4" H x 4 1/8" dia. to 6 1/8" H x 6 1/8" dia. Probably Chinese, 19th/early 20th century.

Condition

1st item: Covers in overall good condition with rubbing, normal shelf wear, corners bumped. Pages with toning/toning impressions, few pencil inscriptions, scattered minute foxing spots. Plates are collated with all tissue paper guard intact with minor creases/tears. 2nd through 4th items: Scattered surface pitting and some discoloration of glaze; remnants of sticker label to wooden lid of one smaller jar; loss to ceramic lid of other smaller jar, measuring 1/2" H x 1 1/8" W. 5th item: Overall good condition with some surface scratches and slight wear or red to rim. 6th item: Overall good condition.
