Black, Starr & Frost sterling silver water pitcher. Gadrooned rim, scalloped and foliate engraved sides tapering to a narrow end supported by a circular, engraved and gadrooned foot. Double C scroll handle. Stamped BLACK STARR & FROST STERLING 393, with engraved inscription to underside of foot reading FANNY P. RAVENEL FROM HER AUNT FANNY R. FROST. Monogram FPR to one side; illegible 3-part monogram to the other. 12 1/2"H. 38.26 oz t. Circa 1880.
