Six (6) 19th Century boxing prints. 1st-2nd items Two (2) J. Moore, London boxing color engravings including "Deaf Burke, Born Westminster Dec. 8th 1809, Stands 5 ft 8 1/4. Weighs 12 st. 6 lbs." published in 1839 and "Bendigo, Wm. Champion of England" published in 1846. Both depict portraits of the athletes with a landscape background. Both housed and double matted in painted wood frames. 3rd item: Boxing engraving titled "The Interior of the Fives Court with Randall and Turner Sparring," depicting a boxing match surrounded by a crowd in an interior setting. Engraved by Charles Turner (United Kingdom, 1773-1857) and published by W.S. AMS Book and Printseller of the Royal Family, London. 1930 Receipt from Maggs Bros, London and provenance on the work affixed, en verso. Housed in a painted frame with a gilt fillet and adhered to a backing. 4th item: The New York Illustrated News black and white engraving titled "The Champion Fight Between Heenan and Sayers, On the 17th of April, 1860" depicting a boxing match surrounded by a crowd after a sketch by Thomas Nast, Esq. signed in plate, lower left. Unframed. 5th item: The Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes, published in 1890, color print numbered and titled "Figure VII.--Slipping" depicting two men demonstrating a boxing technique. The Pickwick Gallery, Stratford-on-Avon, England label en verso. Housed and matted under glass in a giltwood frame. 6th item: Black and white print titled "The John L. Sullivan Champion Diamond Belt", copyrighted by John Wood, New York, circa 1887. Housed under glass in an ebonized wooden frame. Image sizes ranging from 4 1/4" H x 4" W to 20 1/4" H x 26 1/8" W. Sights ranging in size from: 5 1/4" H x 4 1/2" W to 24 3/4" H x 30" W. Frames ranging in size from: 10" H x 9 1/2" W to 28" H x 33 1/2" W.

Condition
All items in overall good condition. All frames with light overall wear and scattered losses. 1st item: 1/8" in upper right margin, scattered grime, and scattered flaking. 2nd item: 1/8" stain upper right corner and errant material in upper margin. 3rd item. Dampstaining in lower right corner and upper right margin, largest area approximately 4" Long. Some scattered flaking, toning, and grime, and acid burn to perimeter. 4th item: Acid burn from previous tape down center of work, light overall toning and scattered foxing spots. 5th-6th items: Light toning, areas of dampstaining. Ebonized frame with scattered areas of loss, largest 1 1/4".
