Colt Bisley single action Army revolver, SN 300096, manufactured in 1907. The top of the barrel is marked "Colt's PT F.A. MFG. Co. / Hartford.CT. U. S. A.", left side of the barrel is marked "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F.", left side of the frame is marked "PAT. Sept. 19. 1871. July 2. 72. Jan. 19. 75." with rampant Colt logo. Replacement plastic "bone" grips, round barrel, iron mounted, standard front sight. Barrel 4 3/4" L. Overall 10" L. Note: In 1894 Colt debuted a variation of its Single Action Army pistol, called the Bisley, named after the famous British shooting range in Surry, England, and produced it until 1915. The Bisley mainly differed from the SAA in that the hammer, trigger, and grip were designed for the late-19th-century target shooter: the shape of the Bisley grip is swept under, the trigger is wider, the trigger guard is shaped differently, and the hammer spur was lowered.
NOTE: Most firearms made after 1898 require passing an FFL background check prior to transfer. The date of production for this gun makes it subject to FFL rules. Please be prepared with proper identification and information. If you do not reside in Tennessee, an FFL dealer in your state is required to complete the transfer.
Replaced grip panels. Partial bluing loss and minor pitting. Trigger does not return to forward position, but releases hammer with pull. Cylinder over-cycles. Bore with residue.
