Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, 4" Barrel, 1860

Colt Model 1849 Pocket Percussion Revolver, .31 caliber, serial number 164509, all visible serial numbers matching, including cylinder. Top of the barrel is marked with two line stamp "Address Sam Colt New-York City"; left side of the frame with "Colts Patent". Walnut stocks, octagonal barrel, brass trigger guard and back strap, checkered hammer, standard sights, Barrel 4" L; Overall 8 1/2" L. Serial number corresponds to year 1860.
Condition
Approximately 5% original finish remaining; bore with wear, shallow rifling; cylinder advances smoothly through four of five (indicating wear on one cylinder tooth); loading lever with 1/4" piece broken off at clasp (present) but functions correctly.
