European oil on canvas titled, "The Farmstead, Gathering Wood". Painting depicts two large stone houses and a female walking along a path with five geese following. The background depicts a body of water and mountain ridge in the distance with the entire scene covered under a cloudy/stormy sky. Unsigned but conservation label verso states the work is by Arthur Tanner (possibly Arthur Jacob Tanner, UK, 1857-1916). Housed in gilded wooden frame. Sight: 47 1/2" H X 35 1/2" W. Frame: 58" H X 46" W.
Condition
Canvas has been lined with a small repaired "L" tear to the middle right region of the canvas. 2004 Cumberland Art Conservation label verso stating title and artist, Arthur Tanner.
