Georg Anton Rasmussen (Norwegian, 1842-1914), oil on canvas, summer seascape depicting women on the shoreline of a fjord, foreground with a rowboat and sailboat on the water, mid-ground, and mountains with scattered structures visible in the background. Signed and dated "G. Rasmussen 1883" lower left. Housed in a heavily carved foliate gesso and gilt frame with gilt filet. Sight: 13 1/8 in. H x 22 5/8 in. W. Framed: 25 1/2 in. H x 35 1/4 in. W.
Condition
Painting is in overall good condition with overall light grime. Frame with scattered abrasions and losses, primarily along the upper frame and some areas of touch up.
