Artist biography: Guillermo Gomez Mayorga is best known for his marine landscapes, most notably those of the open ocean. He was able to capture the majesty of Mexican beaches and terrain due to his knowledge of topography, his love of nature, and the lessons he took from many other avant-garde artists of his time.
