Harold Kraus (Tennessee, b. 1940s) oil on board painting titled "La Saison" (The Season) depicting a brunette woman with bare feet wearing a long, white dress, standing on a shoreline and facing toward the ocean, her wide brim hat pulled down over her face, beneath an early morning sky. Signed and dated "Kraus '90" lower right. Title, date, artist's information with additional signature, and numeral inscribed en verso of canvas. Gilt placard with alternate title "1910 Season" affixed lower center of frame. Housed in a carved giltwood frame with an off-white linen liner. Sight: 17 1/2" H x 23 1/2" W. Framed: 30" H x 36" W.
