Heinz Ludwig Munnich (Germany, 1921-1977/78) Abstract Expressionist oil on canvas cityscape painting titled "Sunset" rendered in rich, saturated colors and depicting a bayside skyline beneath a vast, clouded evening sky, all reflected in the still water below. Signed "Heinz Munnich" lower left corner. W. T. Burger Co. stencil label, en verso of canvas. Printed label with artist biographical information and W. T. Burger Co. label with numbering, title, and artist affixed, en verso. Housed in a contemporary wooden frame with black leatherette liner. Sight: 22 3/4" H x 35 3/8" W. Framed: 29 3/4" H x 42 3/8" W.
