Two (2) Howard Finster (Georgia, 1916-2001) items, including original drawing and book. 1st item: "Riding 65 miles an Hour on Bumpy Roads on I-24 Highway - John Baeder is Driving his Cadillac", pen and marker on paper, numbered 5000 150 and dated Feb. 23, 1986. Personal inscription to Susan Fritz. Float mounted in a silvered frame atop a black mat. Sheet: 13 3/4" H x 10 3/4" W. Frame: 18" H x 15" W. 2nd item: A copy of Finster's self published soft cover book, "Howard Finster's Vision of 1982; Vision of 200 Light Years Away Space Born of Three Generations. From Earth to the Heaven of Heavens," published 1982, 9 3/4" H x 7 1/4" W. Note: contained within the book is a color photograph of Finster with a woman believed to be Susan Fritz, original owner of the drawing.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection, acquired from Susan Fritz, who acquired it directly from the artist.
Condition
Drawing appears to be in very good condition with minor handling creases at edges, not examined out of frame. Slight wear to frame. Book also in very good condition.
