John Clymer (Europe/United States, b. 1932) oil on canvas Impressionist European landscape painting depicting a single figure in a rowboat upon a sunlit river, flanked by a path leading to a cabin to the left and a neat row of buildings along the riverbank to the right. Vague rooftops and treelines are visible in the background before distant mountains beneath a bright sky. Signed "John Clymer" lower left. Printed label with artist biographical information affixed, en verso. Housed in a gessoed giltwood frame with pierced flourish corners. Sight: 23 1/2" H x 35 1/2" W. Framed: 31 1/4" H x 43 1/4" W.
