Eitaku Kobayashi: JAPANESE PAINTINGS: CHILDREN'S GAMES. 12 colored woodblock prints on silk depicting children engaged in various activities, with a 13th print depicting Precious Objects. Tokyo: Hakubukwan, circa 1890-1894. Silk covered boards. Laid in English description and bookplate. 11 3/4 in. x 9 1/4 in. Also included is a Japanese collage doll, painted silk face with clothing comprising various fabric scraps, 7 in. H. 

Condition

Wear, grime and fraying to exterior boards/covers. Boards are not attached to the prints or each other. Prints are in excellent condition. Doll is in fragile condition with fraying, staining and losses.

The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville.
