Barcelona chair and ottoman, both designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and manufactured by Knoll circa 1965. Original black tufted leather cushions with leather support straps, polished steel X-form legs. The chair retains the original tag for "Knoll Associates Inc., 745 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY".  The stool retains the original tag for "Knoll Associates Inc., 320 Park Avenue, New York, NY". 30 in. H x 30 1/4 in. W x 30 1/2 in. D. Purchased in 1977 or 1979. Ref. Knoll Furniture: 1938-1960, Rouland and Rouland, page 80. Note: this auction includes 2 other similar Barcelona Chairs and Stools from the same estate collection. 

Condition

Both pieces with general use wear. The front base straps of both the chair and stool with some wear and the chrome bases with light surface wear.
