Louis William Bonsib (Indiana, 1892-1979) oil on canvas painting depicting a river flowing through a landscape with evergreen trees and a mountain range partially covered with snow in the background. Signed "LW Bonsib" lower right. Ink inscription reading "given to Mab/1955/LWB" en verso of canvas. Housed in a carved giltwood frame. Sight: 24 1/2" H x 29 1/2" W. Framed: 29 1/2" H x 34 3/4" W. Includes an information brochure about Bonsib reprinted from INDIANA BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY, circa 1961, and seven postcards of Bonsib's work with an information card.
