Louis XVI style giltwood three-panel folding screen, each panel comprised of a pierced pediment over painted grisaille oil on canvas mythological medallions, depicting putti engaged in various activities such as catching doves, crowning each other in laurels, threshing wheat, and fending off a goat. Each panel upholstered in damask satin, framed by lamb's tongue, ribbon-and-stick, and bead course molded gilt wood. Folded: 61" H x 20 1/4" W. Open: 61" H x 59 1/2" W. French, late 19th to early 20th century.
Scattered slight wear to gilt including minor losses; minor wood shrinkage commensurate with age; loss to lower giltwood decoration on one panel. Satin with scattered minor fraying and separation from panel, primarily to seams; one screen's satin panel slightly loose; scattered staining to satin, en verso. Paintings with minor craquelure throughout and slight abrasion to edges.

Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file with Case, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
