Maria Poveka Montoya Martinez (1887-1980) and Popovi Da (1923–1971) San Ildefonso black-on-black pottery dish with repeating stylized feather motif. Incised signature on the base "Maria Popovi" and 780 to the underside. 6 1/2" dia. 20th century. Note: Maria Martinez and her son Popovi Da (also known as Tony Martinez) worked together from 1956 to 1970. Their collaboration ended when Da unexpectedly died in 1971.
