Rare Meissen porcelain hand-painted fish set comprising sixteen (16) total pieces: twelve (12) plates, one (1) platter, one (1) sauceboat with attached underplate, one (1) serving/tureen spoon with foliate handle and gilt highlights, and one (1) bowl. Each pieces is individually decorated with a different type of fish swimming with varied items in the background including, ships, fishing boats, barrels, dock fragments, baskets, and landscape. All pieces with blue crossed swords mark and impressed numbers to undersides. Plates: 10" dia. Platter: 11 1/2" H x 24" W. Sauceboat: 3 3/4" H x 10" W x 6 1/2" D. Sauceboat spoon: 9" L. Bowl: 2" H x 10" dia. German, late 19th century.

Condition

One chip to rim of tureen spoon, all other pieces in very good condition with minimal use wear.
