Middle TN 16 Pane Cherry Corner Cupboard

Large Middle Tennessee cherry corner cupboard, poplar primary. Single case construction with an ogee and dentil molded cornice, canted and molded edge sides, two glazed eight-pane upper doors enclosing four shelves, one central dovetailed drawer with a cockbeaded and lapped edge above two paneled lower doors enclosing two shelves. Bracket foot base with spur returns and a straight skirt. Doors, central drawer, and lower doors fitted with brass pulls. 96" H x 50" W x 20" D. Circa 1820.
PROVENANCE: Previously from the collection of former antique dealers Jane and John Luna from Columbia, TN, descended in the family.
Condition
Refinished surface with general age and use-related wear. The left cornice return is missing. Glazed panes have later added putty for stability.
