Peter Max (New York/Germany, b. 1937) acrylic on canvas painting of a stylized American flag surrounded by a colorful, gestural border and with passages of impasto throughout. Signed "Max," lower right. With "Peter Max" stamp and numbered 117149 to verso. Housed in an ebonized wood frame. Sight: 19 1/2 in H x 23 3/8 in W. Frame: 29 3/4 in H x 33 3/4 in W.
