Handwritten pencil inscriptions from Clements reading "Stacking Hay/1987/Peti Clements" and "This time I'm the watergirl/Enjoy! Peti", en verso of canvas. Housed in a wooden frame with an off-white linen liner and wooden fillet. Sight: 11 3/4" H x 15 3/4" W. Framed: 20 1/2" H x 24 1/2" W. Note: Peti Clements was a female African American folk artist.
