Two (2) Karl Mullen (Irish, b. 1954) outsider art figural watercolor paintings with gouache and felt tip pen on found paper. Both with figures with red heads and decorative clothing who stand and face the veiwer. Both initialed 'K," lower right. Item 1: Figure in white painted over ledger paper dated 1910. Sheet: 9 3/8 in H x 5 7/8 in W. Frame: 16 5/8 in H x 13 1/8 in W.  Item 2: Figure in orange painted over a letter dated 1956. Sheet: 10 in H x 7 3/16 in W. Frame: 17 5/16 in H x 14 3/8 in W. Both floated under glass in ebonized wood frames with cream mounts. Biographical note: Karl Mullen was born in Ireland and now resides in the U.S., where he creates art using various non-traditional materials. His work is in the permanent collections of The Polk Museum, The Hurn Museum, and Robert Morris College. His work was also showcased in the PBS syndicated TV series Rare Visions & Roadside Revelations.

Both items in very good overall condition, with minor, likely inherent soiling to found papers. Not examined out of frames.
