Pair of antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen full tent bags. Central rust or brick red field with four rows of four guls and lower elem panel with diamond designs. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. Both measure 4 ft x 2 ft 4 in. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
One rug with wear to the lower left and right borders, minor wear to the lower border, and even pile wear. The other rug with old repair to the right border and losses to the upper right corner. Both with homemade denim hangers en verso.
