Richard Wentworth (British, b. 1947) contemporary galvanized steel and copper sculpture titled "Trophy For a 3-Legged Race," 1988. 21 x 16 x 35 in. Note: Lot includes 1987 Wentworth sculpture catalog published by Riverside Studios, London. Biographical Note: Richard Wentworth is a British artist, educator, and curator. Emerging in the early 1980s, he became associated with the New British Sculpture movement. His work often explores unexpected combinations of materials and everyday objects, creating visual contrasts between elements that seem out of place together.
