Ron Williams (Tennessee, 1947-2016), oil on canvas painting of a landscape depicting a cloudy atmospheric sky, rolling hillside with trees and foliage converging into a rocky river, likely in the Great Smoky Mountains. Signed: Ron Williams lower right. Housed in a dark copper tone and gilt molded frame. Canvas size: 14" H x 10 1/4" W. Frame: 20 1/4" H x 16 3/4" W. Biography: A native of Knoxville, TN and Navy veteran, Ron Williams began painting in his early adulthood and painted for over 40 years. He is best known for his numerous Hudson River School stylized depictions of Southern Highland and Appalachian landscapes, primarily depicting East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

Overall very good condition. Small impression or dent into upper frame 1/4".
